SALARY : 2025 $56,172 NYS Retirement; Health, Dental and Vision Benefits.

LOCATION :  City of Saratoga Springs - City Hall - Finance Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: While there are no required minimum qualifications for this position, there are preferred qualifications. Please clearly detail your employment history on the City of Saratoga Springs application form.

• Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. OR
• Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Associates Degree and one year of full time paid office experience. OR
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three years of full-time paid office experience.

Preferred Skills:

• MS Office, Canva, Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to process confidential information.
• Seeking a candidate who is independent, resourceful and organized.
• Previous experience with professional social media or graphic design a plus.

DUTIES:

• This position exists in the Finance office and works directly with the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Finance.
• This individual will independently coordinate many of the administrative details and routine affairs of the office.
• Employees in this class keep the Commissioner/Deputy Commissioners calendar, open and sort the mail, arrange conferences, maintain files, compile data for reports, attend events with the Commissioner, and assist with the preparation of the Finance agenda for council meetings.
• This position serves as the primary coordinator of the city’s participator budgeting program, including communication with committee members and the public, program promotion and reporting.
• Within carefully established guidelines, employees may give out information regarding policies and practices, compose routine memorandums and correspondence.
• Work is performed under the supervision of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Finance. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this position.
• This position will perform other related duties as assigned by the Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner of Finance.
